Step1: Scan your computer for malware with SpyHunter

In the window, choose Search Providers on the left side.

Under On Startup section, select Open a specific page or set of pages and then click on Set Pages.

If the browser hijacker is found in the pop-up, delete it by clicking on the X button next to it. Then type a desired one in the editable field of Open this page: then click on OK.


Go to Appearance section, check the Show Home Button box and click Change.

2 Go to the Search section. If your default search engine is changed to another one, click the drop-down icon and select your original one.

1 Open Firefox, click Tools -> Options or click on the Firefox menu icon -> Options.

Select General on the left pane. Make sure When Firefox start: is set to Show my home page. Delete if there is and type or another address of the website you want in the Home Page section.


2 Choose Search which is under General on the left side of the page, click on the drop-down menu and select the search engine you want under Default Search Engine to set it as the default search engine.


Under One-click search engines section, select the unwanted search engine and click on Remove button. Close the page and the changes will be saved.


Step4: Delete suspicious toolbars and extensions from browsers

Under Toolbars and Extensions, select the add-on that is associated with the browser hijacker and click on Remove button to get rid of it.

If you find any extension which is associated with, click the trashcan icon to delete it from Chrome.


A notice to remove the extension will appear. Click Remove.

Step5: Reset your browser settings to defaults.

In the Reset Internet Explorer Settings dialog box, check Delete personal settings and click on Reset.


When Internet Explorer finishes applying default settings, click on Close, and then click OK.

Click on Reset button when the box asking for your confirmation pops up.

Click on Fresh Firefox… button to restore Firefox browser settings.
