Click the Tools menu and then select Internet Options.

In the window that opens, click Search Providers, set Bing or Google as the default search engine. Then, remove the unwanted search engine by highlighting it and clicking on the Remove button.

Open the Google Chrome browser.

Click the Chrome menu in the top right corner of the browser window and then select Settings.

Delete the unwanted website URL by highlighting it and clicking the X icon, and then click OK to save your change.

Now go back to the Settings page and click Change button.

Go back to the Settings page again. Locate and click Manage search engine….

In the window that opens, make Google or Bing as the default search engine by highlighting it and clicking Make default. Then, remove the unwanted search engine by highlighting it and clicking the X icon. Finally, click the Done button.

FirefoxMozilla Firefox:

Launch your Mozilla Firefox browser.

Click the Firefox menu in the top right corner and then click Options.


In the page that opens, highlight the unwanted homepage, and delete it by using the Delete key on your keyboard.

Then, on the left side of the page, find and click the Search tab. Select the unwanted search engine and then click Remove button to delete it.

Right click the icon of Mozilla Firefox, and then select Properties option from the context menu.

It should be noted that, the above manual removal steps can only remove the visible components of from your PC. There may be some files and registry entries related to the browser hijacker deep hidden in your computer system which you fail to find out and remove from your PC.
