Since the browser hijacker usually comes bundled with other third-party freeware, you need to pay more attention when downloading and installing programs from the Internet. Here’re a few tips on how to avoid such PUPs.

Never visit malicious websites. Keep away from those dangerous sites and DO NOT click on those enticing pop-up ads. They may redirect you to unknown sites and download and install malware like rootkits, Trojans, ransomware, adware and other cyber infections on your PC.

Always choose Custom Install. When installing a program, you are suggested to choose the Custom/Advanced Install if there is. This allows you to uncheck those additional programs that you don’t need. If you often select the Express Install during installation, many unwanted programs or browser hijackers like may get installed silently.

Keep advanced antivirus software. A powerful antivirus program can help you prevent malicious programs effectively and get rid of computer threats quickly. We suggest you download and install a professional antivirus program to protect the system.
